Lebanese-style green beans
Serves 4
Difficulty : Easy
Preparation time : 15 minutes
Cooking time : 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 500 g fresh green beans, stalked
- 3 ripe tomatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves Albert Ménès mild garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp Albert Ménès whole cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Albert Ménès thyme
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
- Pre-cooking the beans :
- Blanch the green beans in boiling salted water for 5 minutes. Drain and run under cold water to preserve their colour.
- To prepare the aromatic stock :
- Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan or sauté pan. Fry the onion and mild garlic until they are soft. Then add the cumin seeds and thyme and toast for a few seconds to release the aromas.
- Assembly and final cooking:
- Add the tomatoes and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until the sauce melts. Add the green beans, season with salt and pepper, mix well, cover and simmer for a further 10 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
All you have to do is enjoy!
