SLICES OF OVEN-ROASTED BUTTERNUT SQUASH WITH AUTUMN SPICE MARINADE
How can you keep things chic and simple when you don't want to waste too much time behind the stove? With this recipe for grilled butternut, you're sure to impress and delight your guests.
For 4 people
Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking time: 25 min
Ingredients :
- One butternut, also known as squash, weighing about 700g
- 6 soup spoons of olive oil
- Thyme
- Oakwood Smoked Paprika
- Whole Cumin
Preparation :
Preheat the oven to 180°C (gas mark 6).
Mix the spices and oil in a bowl to make a spice marinade.
Peel the squash, then cut it in half lengthways. Then slice the two pieces crosswise. Note that the thinner the slice, the less time it will need to cook in the oven. Depending on your taste, opt for a thin or more rustic format.
Finally, dip the butternut pieces into the spicy mixture.
Spread out the pieces of squash in a large dish. Brush each slice with the spiced marinade and sprinkle over the dish.
Place the squash in the oven for 25 minutes, then turn them over halfway through cooking. This will allow the pieces to melt in the mouth.
Finally, enjoy the squash with your guests while it's still hot.
