Known as masala in Tamil, meaning "mixture", curry powder is used for all sauce-based dishes in south-east Asia. Originating in Thailand, Albert Ménès mild curry powder is a blend of coriander, fenugreek, turmeric, ginger, hot pepper, white pepper, salt, cumin, garlic, chilli, chickpea flour and bay leaf. Mild, smooth, bewitching, fragrant and aromatic, this fine full-flavoured powder with its pretty yellow-orange colour will awaken your taste buds. The highly spiced top notes, first revealing turmeric, coriander, cumin and garlic, give way to fruity and floral notes recalling the tang of exotic fruits such as passion fruit and pineapple and certain white flowers.
