Our extra Mirabelle plum jam is made from Mirabelle de Lorraine plums which have been chosen their juicy flesh and PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) designation, a label which certifies the quality of the fruit. The Mirabelle de Nancy plums are picked at their peak of ripeness and are then cut in half, pitted and cooked by hand in an open copper cauldron pot. The quick cooking process and low sugar content of this recipe keeps the delicate fruity flavour and melt-in-the-mouth texture of the plums. Their artisanal skills and the authentic recipe guarantee a sweet and tasty creation.
Our Mirabelle de Lorraine plum jam is perfect spread on toasted brioche, melba toast or pancakes for breakfast or for a snack. You can also use it to add flavour to yoghurt or quark.
