2018 VINTAGE. Hand-picked from cod caught in the Icelandic seas, the livers used for this product are trimmed manually before being smoked over beech wood and cooked in the tin. No oil is added – it is released from the liver naturally during cooking. Each year of fishing brings us a new vintage as, much like fine wine, cod liver improves with time.
Cod liver is a delicate, refined starter, to be enjoyed on small pieces of toast, as an appetiser accompanied by asparagus tips or on a green bean salad seasoned with olive oil and lemon.
