Our blackcurrant jam is made near Nice using strongly-flavoured blackcurrants with a classic, fruity taste. The blackcurrants are picked when fully ripe and are first destemmed and then cooked by hand by our master jam makers using a copper cauldron pot. The whole blackcurrants add a nice decorative touch and give the jam its pleasant texture. Their artisanal skills and the authentic recipe guarantee a sweet and tasty creation.
Blackcurrant jam goes great with brioche for breakfast or at tea time. It also goes perfectly with quark or rice pudding. It can also be used to make a range of desserts including, of course, blackcurrant tarts or in a Clafoutis and can also be used to fill macaroons. It also goes perfectly with savoury dishes! Don’t be afraid to use blackcurrant jam for game-based recipes (wild boar, pheasant), with duck breast or with oily fish dishes such as mackerel.
